Client bio

Roshaun Christopher is an American defensive back whose background combines NCAA playing experience, international defensive leadership, and collegiate coaching and football operations. A versatile safety with experience at nickel and boundary corner, Christopher brings a thoughtful understanding of defensive schemes, an emphasis on communication, and a team-first approach to preparation.

Christopher played defensive back at Bowdoin College and later served as a defensive captain at Leeds Beckett University in the United Kingdom. His experience as a graduate assistant at Florida A&M University adds a coaching perspective to his playing background, informing how he studies opponent tendencies and approaches defensive strategy. He currently serves as Director of Football Operations for Linfield University while pursuing opportunities to continue his playing career.

A 2022 Bowdoin College graduate, Christopher also attended Florida State University from 2024 to 2025 and Leeds Beckett University during the 2025–26 academic year. His path through playing, coaching, and operations has given him experience with the responsibilities that support a football program both on and off the field.

Born in Queens, New York, to a Jamaican father and Trinidadian mother, Christopher is a first-generation American whose upbringing spanned New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. He credits those communities and his Caribbean heritage with shaping his adaptability, appreciation for different cultures, and ability to connect with people from a wide range of backgrounds.

Beyond football, Christopher is fluent in French and enjoys studying history, cultures, and civilizations. Guided by his Christian faith, he values humility, coachability, and the well-being of others. His charitable interests include cancer research, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, mental health, and youth initiatives.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am pleased to recommend Roshaun Christopher for consideration by football organizations seeking an athlete who values leadership, preparation, and service to others.

Based on the personal and professional background Roshaun has shared with Black Diamond, he brings a thoughtful perspective to both football and life. He identifies humility and coachability as central strengths and places considerable importance on listening, understanding others, and communicating across different backgrounds. These priorities offer a strong foundation for contributing to a team environment.

Roshaun’s experience spans collegiate football, international competition, coaching, and football operations. His service as a defensive captain at Leeds Beckett University, graduate assistant experience at Florida A&M University, and current role as Director of Football Operations at Linfield University reflect engagement with the game from several perspectives. That background gives him an appreciation for the preparation, communication, and shared responsibility a football program requires.

His personal story also speaks to adaptability. As a first-generation American raised by Jamaican and Trinidadian parents, Roshaun embraces his heritage while expressing a sincere interest in learning about other people and cultures. His fluency in French and continued interest in language learning further reflect that curiosity.

Roshaun describes himself as a God-fearing man who puts the well-being of others before his own. His interest in supporting cancer research, mental health, and youth initiatives aligns with that commitment to service. He approaches his next chapter with a clear desire to continue playing football and contribute meaningfully to the organization that gives him that opportunity.

I encourage prospective teams to speak with Roshaun, review his film, and consider the perspective he can bring as a player with coaching and operational experience. Black Diamond is pleased to support his pursuit of the next opportunity in his football career.

Sincerely,
